Everton Coach Silva Provides Injury Update On Ademola Lookman
Published: December 27, 2018Everton manager Marco Silva has revealed that London-born winger of Nigerian descent, Ademola Lookman has been out of the Toffees squad only because of injury.
The England U21 star was not in the match day squad against Tottenham Hotspur on December 23 and also missed the clash against Burnley on Boxing Day.
According to Silva, no specific timescale has been set for Lookman's return to action and he is doubtful for their next Premier League match vs Brighton & Hove this coming Saturday.
''He wasn't able to play. Let's see in the next few days. He hasn't started training with the team yet,'' Silva was quoted as saying by Liverpool Echo.
''It is possible for the next match but it won't be easy but let's see about the other one.''
Lookman has appeared in eleven matches in this season's Premier League but was named in the starting line-up only once against Newcastle United.
