Man City Loanee Nmecha; Sunderland's Maja, MK Dons' Aneke Score For EFL Clubs

Round up of the Nigeria-eligible players that found the net for their English Football League clubs in matches that took place on Tuesday, January 1.
Manchester City loanee Lukas Nmecha made it two goals in two games as Preston North End were beaten 2-1 by Semi Ajayi's Rotherham United at AESSEAL New York Stadium.
The striker fired home from a tight angle to make it 2-1 in the 78th minute and his team came close to scoring what would have been an equaliser in the closing minutes only for Semi Ajayi to clear the ball off the line.
In League One, Josh Maja's fourteenth league goal saw promotion hopefuls Sunderland claim three points at Blackpool.
The recently turned 20-year-old frontman turned home a cross from the left in the 23rd minute which proved to be the game winner.
Finally, ex-Arsenal starlet Chuks Aneke netted for the third straight game in the League two as Milton Keynes Dons hammered Cambridge United 6-0.
The number 10 smashed home a loose ball from inside the box to make it 3-0 in the 12th minute.
