Ex-Falkenbergs Star Chisom Egbuchulam NOT Returning To Sweden, Agrees N432M Deal With Asian Club
Published: January 03, 2019Contrary to media reports at home and abroad, allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report that Nigerian striker Chisom Egbuchulam will not be playing in Sweden in the forthcoming season.
The 26-year-old is currently a free agent after running out of contract at Allsvenskan new boys Falkenbergs FF at the end of the 2018 season.
Falkenbergs FF did everything possible to extend Egbuchulam's contract, offering him a two-year deal but the attacker had already made up his mind to leave the club.
Although there were claims that IFK Goteborg were interested in his signature, the truth is that the 18-time Swedish champs did not make an official approach for the player.
Egbuchulam has ALREADY AGREED a two-year deal with an unnamed Asian club and only a few details to sort out regarding his documentation before the transfer is made official.
It is confirmed that he will earn a minimum of US$1.2 million (approximately N432 million in Nigerian currency) over the duration of his contract and has been assigned a shirt number.
He put himself in the shop window after scoring 14 goals from 26 games over the course of the 2018 season.
