Bournemouth Boss Reveals When Ex-Liverpool Starlet Solanke Could Make His Debut
Published: January 06, 2019
England U21 star Dominic Solanke is unlikely to make his competitive debut for Bournemouth before February 2019, according to manager Eddie Howe.
The striker completed his transfer to the South Coast club on Friday but cannot be utilized by the club because of a hamstring injury, the same ailment that saw him miss out on a move to Crystal Palace.
''Dominic Solanke will bring a slightly different dynamic to our front line. He’s got the ability to hold the ball up and link play,'' Howe was quoted as saying by Bournemouth's official website.
''He’s technically gifted and is very good in the air from crosses which is something we’ll certainly utilise.
''At present, he has a minor hamstring problem so he’ll miss most of January I would imagine, but we’ll try to get him back for February.''
