Published: January 09, 2019
Former Golden Eaglets invitee Ovie Ejaria has gotten a rival from Chelsea, with Championship outfit Reading confirming the signing of Lewis Baker on loan for the remainder of the season.
Just like Ejaria, Baker has versatility in his locker as he is capable of playing as a central midfielder, defensive midfielder and attacking midfielder and competition for midfield spots will be intense with the signing of both players.
The two loanees from Liverpool and Chelsea have caps for England's U20 and U21 national teams.
Ejaria is looking forward to making his debut for the Royals in their Championship clash against Nottingham Forest on Saturday, January 12.
Speaking to the official website of Reading, he said : ''You have to be ready all the time, stay fit and I feel like I'm ready. I'm ready to give 100% for the team and hopefully I can help the team as much as possible."
While Ejaria has recorded 11 appearances in the Championship for Sunderland, Baker has 27 games to his name.
