Nigeria Captain Obi Mikel Pays Tribute To Retiring Chelsea Legend Petr Cech
Nigeria captain John Obi Mikel has paid tribute to Premier League goalkeeping legend Petr Čech after the former Czech Republic international announced his retirement from the game at the end of the season, twenty years after he inked his first professional contract.

The current Arsenal netminder has won fifteen titles since his arrival in England, including the Premier League, FA Cup, Football League Cup, Community Shield, Champions League and Europa League.

The 36-year-old native of Plzeň was signed by Chelsea from Rennes in July 2004 and he was joined by Mikel at Stamford Bridge two years later.

Cech is Czech Republic's most capped player to date with 124 appearances and has posted 202 clean sheets in the Premier League which is a record.

Writing on Instagram, Mikel stated : ''It has been an honour to have played and won so many trophies with you @petrcech #Cookingrematch 😉 Good luck!''.

Cech, who began the season as Arsenal's first choice goalie, has also played for Viktoria Plzeň, Chmel Blšany and Sparta Prague in his homeland.
