Why Huddersfield Town's Billing Was Omitted From Squad Vs Manchester City
Published: January 20, 2019
Denmark U21 international of Nigerian descent Philip Billing was omitted from the Huddersfield Town squad against Manchester City in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
The Terriers have confirmed that the central midfielder has a slight knee issue that ruled him out of today’s game.
So far Huddersfield Town have not indicated when Billing will return to action and if he'll be available for their next league match against Everton on January 29.
This season, he has started 21 matches in the English topflight scoring two goals and missed the 1-0 loss to Arsenal due to an accumulation of yellow cards.
Goals from Danilo, Raheem Sterling and Leroy Sane condemned Huddersfield Town to their sixteenth defeat of the season.
In the event that the West Yorkshire side are demoted to the Championship, Billing will not be lacking suitors as he has been their shining light in a disappointing season.
