Official : Chelsea Announce Transfer Of Their Most Expensive Outfield Player To Atletico Madrid
Published: January 28, 2019Chelsea have confirmed that Spain international Alvaro Morata has been loaned out to Atlético Madrid.
The attacker is joining the Europa League holders on loan until the end of the 2019-2020 season.
Morata was the most expensive player signed by Chelsea when he arrived from Real Madrid in the summer of 2017 before the record was broken by goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga.
The 26-year-old began his career at Atlético Madrid, spending two years at the capital club before he continued his football education at Getafe and Real Madrid.
Since Morata turned professional, he has scored 82 goals and registered 37 assists for top division teams.
He has also played for Italian champions Juventus.
