Chelsea Loanee Moses Excites Fenerbahce Fans On Debut & The Feeling Is Mutual
Published: January 29, 2019Three days after completing a seventeen-month loan move to Fenerbahce, Victor Moses made his maiden appearance for the Yellow Canaries in their 3-2 win against Yeni Malatyaspor on Monday evening.
The Chelsea loanee came off the bench in the 66th minute as replacement for Yassine Benzia and did not look like a player who had been inactive for three months after falling out of favour with manager Maurizio Sarri .
Moses was impressive and excited Fenerbahce fans took to social media to praise his performance during and after the game staged at Ulker Stadyumu Fenerbahçe Sukrü Saracoglu Spor Kompleksi.
For the sixth time in his career, the former Nigeria international did not get on the scoresheet on his debut but did come close to scoring when his left-footed strike from just outside the box missed the target.
Speaking after the game, Moses appreciated the Fenerbache fans for their support throughout the game, adding that it gave him confidence.
''It's a massive great atmosphere. I have heard about what Fenerbahce fans are like. Seeing it today is unbelievable, I am very pleased, I want to say thanks to every single one of them here today.
''They gave me the confidence as well to go there and express myself, not just me, the other players as well.''
Moses has also enjoyed loan spells at Liverpool, Stoke City and West Ham since transferring to Chelsea in the summer of 2012.
