Ex-Arsenal Women RB Alex Scott Blames Iwobi, Lichtsteiner For Aguero's Second Goal
Published: February 04, 2019Former Arsenal Women right back Alex Scott has blamed Alex Iwobi and Stephan Lichtsteiner for the second goal scored by Sergio Aguero in their 3-1 loss to Manchester City on Sunday.
The Nigeria international was deployed as a right midfielder in a 4-4-2 formation while the Swiss veteran played at right back.
In truth, Iwobi and Lichtsteiner struggled throughout the game and it's not a coincidence that all the three goals scored by The Citizens came from the right side of the pitch.
Sky Sports pundit Scott said: 'Lichtsteiner is all over the place, he doesn't know whether to close the player down.
''Him and Iwobi are getting popped around down that side.''
Iwobi made an error that led to Aguero's opener after giving away possession as he attempted to dribble it out from the back.
The Hale End Academy product had no influence in the game and was replaced by Aaron Ramsey in the 65th minute.
