Nigerian Defender Makes Premier League 2 Debut For Tottenham Hotspur
Talented London-born Nigerian defender Jubril Okedina made his Premier League 2 debut for Tottenham Hotspur as they were beaten 2-0 by Brighton & Hove at American Express Elite Football Performance Centre on Sunday afternoon.

The fullback was one of the four U18 players named in the team by Spurs U23s boss Wayne Burnett.

Okedina had a great chance to open the scoring for the visitors with a shot from distance which was blocked before Bojan Radulovic struck to make it 1-0 in the 20th minute.

The 2000-born player has been involved in seven matches for Tottenham's U18 side in the U18 Premier League this season prior to his maiden appearance for the U23s.

Capable of playing as a left and right-sided central defender, Okedina is available for selection for Spurs in the English Premier League as an U21 player as well as the UEFA Youth League.

He is in the second year of his scholarship with Tottenham Hotspur.
