The Aston Villa number 18 notched braces against Queens Park Rangers (Jan 1) and Ipswich Town (Jan 26) and also got on the scoresheet in a 2-2 draw against Hull City (Jan 19).
He was courted by a host of clubs in the Premier League in the winter transfer market but opted to see out the remainder of the season with Aston Villa.
