Chelsea Loanee Abraham Shortlisted For PFA Player Of The Month
Chelsea loanee Tammy Abraham is one of the six players in the running to be named PFA Bristol Street Motors Championship Player of the Month for January 2019.

The Aston Villa hotshot has been nominated for the accolade along with Said Benrahma (Brentford), Jarrod Bowen (Hull City), Rico Henry (Brentford), David Raya (Blackburn) and Mario Vrancic (Norwich City).

Last month, Abraham netted in all the matches he started in the Championship with the exception of the 3-0 loss to Wigan Athletic.

The Aston Villa number 18 notched braces against Queens Park Rangers (Jan 1) and Ipswich Town (Jan 26) and also got on the scoresheet in a 2-2 draw against Hull City (Jan 19).

He was courted by a host of clubs in the Premier League in the winter transfer market but opted to see out the remainder of the season with Aston Villa.

After 30 rounds in the Championship, Abraham is the joint-top scorer with 19 goals from 24 appearances.
