Arsenal Provide Fresh Update On Injury Suffered By Iwobi Vs Southampton
Published: February 26, 2019Nigeria international Alex Iwobi is rated as 50-50 to overcome the injury he suffered in Arsenal's 2-0 win against Southampton on Sunday.
The Hale End Academy product had to make way for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the 75th minute of the contest at the Emirates Stadium after picking up a knock.
Arsenal issued a medical bulletin on Tuesday regarding the availability of six of their first-teamers for tomorrow's Premier League match against Bournemouth.
On Iwobi, they wrote : ''Knock to right ankle. Being assessed ahead of Bournemouth (h)''.
This season, the Gunner number seventeen missed Premier League matches against Cardiff City and Newcastle United due to illness.
Iwobi's international teammate Ahmed Musa has just recovered from injury ahead of next month's games against Seychelles and Egypt while Brighton's Leon Balogun is sidelined by a shoulder injury.
