Tottenham Hotspur Linked With A Move For Highly-Rated Nigerian Teenager
Published: March 03, 2019English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur are mulling over a move for Notts County wonderkid Kion Etete, allnigeriasoccer.com understands.
The striker underwent a trial with Tottenham Hotspur youth team last week and started for the U18s in their 5-3 win against West Ham in an U18 Premier League fixture on Saturday.
Etete was one of the most impressive players on the pitch, scoring two first-half goals as Spurs edged an eight-goal thriller and put the pressure on southern section table toppers Arsenal.
The 2001-born player is rated as one of the best prospects at Notts County and was rewarded with a professional contract on his seventeenth birthday.
Since debuting for the first team of The Magpies aged 16, he has appeared in six matches across all competitions, including four EFL League 2 games.
Kion Etete was born in Derby, England to an English mom and Nigerian father which makes him eligible to represent Nigeria and England at international level.
Luke Amos, Timothy Eyoma, Jubril Okedina and Joshua Oluwayemi are among the Nigeria-eligible players on the books of Tottenham Hotspur.
