Arsenal U23 Star Amaechi Set For Crunch Tie Against Everton
Published: March 11, 2019
Arsenal youngster Xavier Amaechi, who is eligible to play for Nigeria, is set for tonight's clash against Everton in the Premier League 2.
Amaechi, 18, has been in fine form for Freddie Ljungberg’s men since the start of this season and the young Gunners will definitely rely on his creativity at the flank when they tackle the Toffees later tonight.
The highly-rated winger is a regular starter under Ljungberg and he's expected to retain his place in the starting lineup bar any last-minute injury.
On the contrary, it remains to be seen if Folarin Balogun will be given a runout as he played for the U18s against Chelsea on Friday, March 8.
The 17-year-old came off the bench to score a great goal in their last outing against Swansea City, his first goal for the U23s this term.
Bukayo Saka as well as Tobi Omole are also in line to make the Gunners match day squad.
The highly organized David Unsworth side have not conceded a goal in their last four outings and top the Premier League 2 table.
