Key Nigerian Midfielder Fails Fitness Test, Omitted From Chelsea UYL Squad Vs Montpellier
Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Nigeria-eligible midfielder Faustino Anjorin will not be involved when two-time champions Chelsea face off with Montpellier in the UEFA Youth League last-16 at Cobham on Wednesday evening, starting from 1700 hours local time.

The highly-rated youngster has failed a fitness test and has not been summoned by manager Joe Edwards for today's game.

Anjorin has not figured for the Young Blues since January 14 after suffering a back injury and it is believed he'll return to action before the end of this month if he does not suffer a setback.

Rated one of the most promising youngsters on the books of an English club, the 17-year-old has scored in all the competitions he has featured in this season : U18 Premier League, U18 Premier League Cup, FA Youth Cup, EFL Trophy, Premier League 2, UEFA Youth League.

Jordan Aina, whose brother Ola holds the appearance record for English clubs, has been registered by Chelsea for the knockout rounds of the UEFA Youth League as well as versatile midfielder Tariq Uwakwe.

In other games today, Jibril Abubakar's FC Midtjylland host Manchester United and Timothy Eyoma's Tottenham Hotspur face a tough away test against Porto.
