Arsenal Interested In Signing Nigerian Midfielder Likened To Patrick Vieira
Published: March 25, 2019
Joe Aribo's future with EFL League One club Charlton Athletic remains covered in mist, with his contract set to run out at the end of the 2018-2019 season.
The Nigerian youngster has gained a reputation as one of the most exciting midfielders in the English third-tier on the back of his imperious displays for the Addicks and he's unlikely to remain with the club, if transfer speculations are anything to go by.
The 22-year-old has been likened to former Arsenal captain Patrick Vieira by former Charlton manager Karl Robinson.
Arsenal have entered the hunt for Charlton starlet Joe Aribo and have had him watched several times this season, according to the Mirror UK.
Aribo's agent Emeka Obasi has close ties to Arsenal as he is also the representative of Nigeria national-teamer Alex Iwobi as well as another Hale End Academy graduate Chuba Akpom.
It's envisaged that there will be competition for his signature, with the likes of Frankfurt and Benfica credited with an interest.
This season, Aribo has scored six goals in 28 appearances in League One.
