Semi Ajayi Loses Top Spot As Most In-form Player In The Championship; Abraham 12th Season Chart
Published: April 01, 2019
Rotherham United midfielder Semi Ajayi has lost the top spot as the most in-form player in the EFL Championship following the last round of matches in the division.
In the updated Power Rankings published by Sky Sports on Monday, the Nigeria international is now ranked fifth with 7,253 points accumulated.
The former Arsenal U23 skipper was the best rated player in the English second-tier before the international break on the back of his impressive form that saw him score five goals in four matches.
Ajayi slipped in the latest ranking after Rotherham United were hammered 6-1 by Derby County on Saturday.
Two other Nigerian players in the shape of Sheffield Wednesday's Dominic Iorfa, 8th with 6,933 points, and Aston Villa's Tammy Abraham, 30th with 5,127 points, appear in the top 50 in-form chart.
Semi Ajayi and Dominic Iorfa are the most in-form players for their respective clubs.
As for the rankings for the season so far, only one Nigerian player made the top 50 and that is Abraham, who is 12th with 57,514 points.
