Villarreal Set Samuel Chukwueze's Release Clause At 63m Euros
Spanish La Liga club Villarreal have increased Samuel Chukwueze's valuation, according to reports in Spain.

Fichajes.com making reference to AS says the winger's release clause has risen from €40 million to €63 million and the new price is expected to scare off suitors interested in signing him in the summer transfer window.

Chukwueze made the switch to Villarreal in August 2017 with Diamond Academy pocketing €500,000, meaning he's now worth 126 times as much.

The Nigeria international enhanced his reputation with a goal and assist in Villarreal's crazy 4-4 draw with Barcelona on Tuesday evening.

Allnigeriasoccer.com broke the news that Leicester City had been linked with a move for the 2015 U17 World Cup winner before Villarreal won the race for his signature.

Arsenal did everything in their power to sign him in 2016 but Diamond Academy pulled out of the deal due to a disagreement over the payment structure of the transfer fee.
