Super Eagles assistant captain Ahmed Musa appeared on television shortly after the conclusion of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations draw and talked about how he felt about the draw.
The three-time Africa champions will take on Guinea and AFCON debutants Madagascar and Burundi in the group stage of the competition.
''I feel very happy, I just finished watching the draw. It is a good group but with these new teams it won't be that easy for the Super Eagles,'' Musa told SuperSport via Skype.
''It is not that easy for the Super Eagles, we missed out on two tournaments, so I think going to the AFCON this year is going to be a very good thing for the boys.
''As you can see we have a very young team and we have a lot of experience from the past World Cup, but we know that this is the first AFCON for most of the boys so it is to going to be difficult but we have to cope with that.''

On the teams he wanted to avoid prior to the draw, Musa said : ''We are ready for any country.
''I know it is a very easy group but it's not that easy, but I know with the hard work we are going to qualify.
''Since we lost to South Africa we have not lost any game which is a good preparation for us.
''I wish the boys the best of luck at the end of the season so that everyone will be fit and get ready.''

Of the 23 players named in Nigeria's squad for the last two international fixtures against Seychelles and Egypt, only Musa and Kenneth Omeruo have played in the Africa Cup of Nations.
