Flying Eagles Striker Yahaya Hits Double In Big Win For Sønderjyske
Published: April 18, 2019
Flying Eagles striker, Nazifi Yahaya put in an eye-catching display for his Scandinavian club Sønderjyske U-19s on Wednesday, scoring twice in a 4-0 rout of Randers.
The 18-year-old has not got much playing time since returning from the African Cup of Nations competition with Nigeria, due to the inactivity of the Danish U-19 Ligaen and barely got some minutes versus EFB in Esbjerg last Saturday.
But yesterday, manager Thomas Skou Jensen unleashed the talented youngster on the opposition from the start and he more than took the chances he was afforded.
He put his team ahead in the first half after pouncing on a stray ball before placing a superb finish in at the far post.
And the Dabo Babes product got his brace in the second half with another solo goal, winning the ball in the middle of the park before advancing to score his side's third.
Yahaya thus, is clearly enjoying a perfect audition with his Danish club as he continues to show his readiness to lead the lines for the Flying Eagles at the upcoming World Cup in Poland next month.
