U17 World Cup-Winning Striker Scores First Career Brace For KSV Roeselare
Former Nigeria U20 international Savior Godwin netted his first career brace to propel KSV Roeselare to a 4-0 win against AFC Tubize in a Proximus League Abstiegs-Playoffs clash on Friday evening.

The first half ended goalless though the Nigerian striker missed a glorious opportunity to give his side the lead inside the opening ten minutes.

Five minutes after the interval, Godwin dribbled past two opponents on the left flank and fired the ball past the AFC Tubize goalkeeper, De Jonghe to make it 1-0.

The number 11 doubled the advantage when he dusted himself down and converted calmly from the spot after he was felled by Nirisarike in the 64th minute.

The 22-year-old Godwin also scored in previous games against Lommel SK (2), KFCO Beerschot Wilrijk, AFC Tubize and KVC Westerlo, taking his tally for the season to 7 goals in 30 league matches.

He was a member of the Golden Eaglets squad that won the FIFA U17 World Cup in United Arab Emirates in 2013.
