Ljungberg Tips 'Game Changer' Saka, Amaechi To Get Better At Arsenal
Published: April 28, 2019
Former Arsenal forward and current U23 coach of the Gunners Freddie Ljungberg has lavished praises on young England international with Nigerian blood Bukayo Saka for his outstanding performances for the team and the notable improvement he has made thus far.
Saka was exceptional particularly in some Europa League group games and Ljungberg who was a key part of the 'Invincibles' that won the Premier League title in the 2004/2005 season bared his mind to Football.London.
"We have quite a few top talents now. How I see it is that Bukayo Saka, Xavier Amaechi and Tyreece John-Jules don't have to be so far back in the pitch. What they have learned is that they need to stay where there will be dangerous," Ljungberg told the website that focuses on the London based sides in the Premier League.
"Other boys will play it out from the back and find pockets. We can feed Bukayo. And then he'll be in a situation further up the field where he can be a game changer. But if we don't feed the ball to him in the right place there won't be that action.
"And that's what we've been working on. It's not just those three it's everyone. But Bukayo [Saka] can be a top talent.
The Swede also highlighted the importance of good positioning.
"My whole philosophy on football is that good players should be the right position to receive the ball.
"Of course Bukayo can still improve but it has been amazing to see the development he's made and the improvement in decision making. It's nice."
Saka is unlikely to make any first team appearances before the curtain falls this season on 12 May 2019.
