The Four Players Competing With Wolfsburg Loanee Osimhen For Nigeria's Goleador In Europe
Wolfsburg loanee Victor Osimhen extended his lead at the top of the Nigerian goalscoring charts in Europe after registering his name on the scoresheet for Sporting Charleroi in their 2-2 draw with KV Oostende on Saturday.

The former Golden Eaglets sensation has now tallied 15 goals in the Belgian First Division A and has accumulated 22.5 points in the European Golden Shoe rankings.

Here are the four players competing with Osimhen for the title of Nigeria's top marksman in the European Leagues :

1) Paul Onuachu - FC Midtjylland - 14 goals (21 points)

The two-cap Nigeria international has tallied 14 goals in the Danish Superliga this term and could overtake or equal Osimhen at the end of the day as he has been named in the starting lineup in the ongoing game against FC Nordsjaelland.

The FC Ebedei product has failed to score in his last seven games in the division.

2) Henry Onyekuru - Galatasaray (on loan from Everton) - 12 goals (18 points)

The Everton loanee has been a consistent scorer for his European clubs and has a chance to win the unofficial award.

Ten of Onyekuru's goals have been scored in front of his home fans at the Ali Sami Yen Spor Kompleksi Türk Telekom Stadyumu. Two of Galatasaray's last five games are at home.

3) Blessing Eleke - FC Luzern - 11 goals (16.5 points)

Eleke has made the net bulge on 11 occasions in the Swiss Super League, not a bad return for the striker who only arrived in Switzerland last summer.

He has to surpass his personal goal record in a single season which is the 15 he netted for Olimpija three years ago to overtake Osimhen in the goleador race.

4) Anthony Nwakaeme - Trabzonspor - 10 goals (15 points)

With 6 goals in his last seven games in the Turkish Super Lig, Nwakaeme is one of the most in-form Nigerian players in Europe at the moment.

He has played as a winger this season and could become the first Nigerian player to register double figures for goals and assists if he sets up three more goals before the end of the campaign.
