Republic of Ireland youth international of Nigerian descent, Tega Agberhiere is in danger of losing his eyesight after he was injured by a corrosive substance last week.
Agberhiere was one of three teenage boys who required medical attention at the University Hospital Waterford following the acid attack that happened in the Earlscourt Estate last Thursday.
Tega's mother, Christie Agberhiere has described the attack as terrible and highlighted that her son was in serious pain and suffered first degree burns.
''My heart is broken. I’m really, really angry. What I’m looking for is justice and it shouldn’t happen to anyone,'' WaterfordLive.ie, citing WLR FM, quoted her as saying.
''I don’t want this to happen to any other person’s child or any other person.''
