Nigerian-born starlet Bobby Adekanye seems to have found a new club ahead of the opening of the summer transfer window, with reputable Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport reporting that the wing wizard has agreed terms with Lazio.
The Netherlands youth international has reportedly inked a four-year contract after months of negotiations and the deal will be activated on July 1, 2019 as he is still contracted to Liverpool until June 30.
Adekanye visited Lazio mid-April and met the executives of the club, manager Simone Inzaghi and his future teammates.
The 20-year-old has been playing for Liverpool since the summer of 2015 but wants to move on to pastures new for sporting reasons as he has not been guaranteed first-team opportunities.
He opted not to pen a fresh three-year deal with Liverpool after he was left out of Jurgen Klopp’s first team pre-season tour of the United States
Adekanye previously played for the youth academies of Ajax Amsterdam, Barcelona and PSV before his move to Anfield.
