Former Nigeria U23 Invitee Preparing To Bid Farewell To Birmingham City
Published: May 11, 2019Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that former Nigeria U23 invitee Viv Solomon-Otabor is preparing to bid farewell to EFL Championship club Birmingham City in the summer.
The talented winger is not renewing his contract with The Blues which expires at the end of next month.
Solomon-Otabor departs the Blues after racking up 40 appearances across all competitions, scoring two goals.
Three years ago, he had been tipped to step into the shoes of Demarai Gray following the sale of the England U21 star to Leicester City but was in and out of the first team squad due to the frequent change of coaching staff.
Since joining Birmingham City in 2012, Solomon-Otabor enjoyed loan spells at Oxford City, Bolton Wanderers, Blackpool and Portsmouth.
The former Birmingham City Young Player of the Year is in advanced talks with an unnamed club and negotiations are expected to be concluded in the coming weeks.
