Arsenal Looking To Extend Contract Of Nigerian Winger Wanted By Bayern Munich
Arsenal are looking to extend the contract of an important player in their Academy, Xavier Amaechi, 18.

According to goal.com, Arsenal are attempting to tie down two of their brightest young talents, teenagers Tyreece John-Jules and Xavier Amaechi, amid interest from Bayern Munich.

Amaechi, who is of Nigerian descent, penned his first professional contract with the Gunners in January 2018 and it is claimed that the deal is due to expire in 2020.

The right winger was monitored by at least fourteen Bundesliga clubs, including Bayern Munich in Arsenal U23s 2-2 draw against Swansea City in April.

Known for his blistering pace and ability to go past defenders, Amaechi's playing style has been compared to Arsenal's Gabon star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang,

At the European U17 Championship in England last year, Amaechi was selected to the Team of the Tournament.
