Official : FC Cologne Snap Up German-Born Right Back Ehizibue

Newly promoted German Bundesliga outfit FC Cologne have confirmed the signing of Nigeria-eligible right back Kingsley Ehizibue following a successful medical.

The 24-year-old ended his association with Dutch Eredivisie club PEC Zwolle after penning a four-year deal with FC Cologne until the summer of 2023.

The versatile defender started his football career in the Zwolle district of Stadshagen, at CSV ’28, before switching to the PEC Zwolle Football Academy.

"I'm really looking forward to being a part of the FC-family and to play in this city in front of such amazing fans. I want to play my part in creating some incredible moments together,'' said Ehizibue to Cologne's official website.

Born in Munich but raised in the Netherlands, Ehizibue is eligible to play internationally for the senior national teams of Nigeria, Germany and Netherlands.

He scored 9 goals in 135 official matches for PEC Zwolle and was vice-captain of the club last season.
