Scottish Club Rangers Interested In Signing Two Nigerian Players
Scottish Premiership side Rangers have set the wheels in motion to sign two English-born players who have committed their international futures to Nigeria.

According to The Daily Mail, Rangers have opened talks with Charlton Athletic midfielder Joe Aribo over a deal but face competition from Southampton, Glasgow rivals Celtic as well as clubs in England and Germany.

The 22-year-old is set to leave the Addicks as a free agent at the end of this month after rejecting a new deal.

Aribo had a banner season for Charlton, helping them gain promotion to the EFL Championship via the playoffs, and registered 10 goals in 39 games.

Another Nigerian youngster being targeted by Rangers is Liverpool's Sheyi Ojo, with a loan deal being mooted for the 21-year-old winger who spent last season at Ligue 1 club Reims.

Ojo previously had loan spells with Wigan Athletic, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Fulham.

It is claimed that he will extend his contract with Liverpool before his proposed move to Rangers.
