Huddersfield Town Lagging Behind In The Race For Charlton's Joe Aribo
Demoted Premier League club Huddersfield Town are lagging behind other clubs in the race for Joe Aribo, according to reports.

The Examiner Live is reporting that Scottish Premiership side Rangers have scuppered Huddersfield Town's hopes of reuniting Karlan Grant with Joe Aribo at the John Smith's Stadium.

Rangers have stolen a march on their rivals after holding talks with the central midfielder and his camp.

The Terriers are targeting Aribo to fill one of the homegrown players spots as English Football League rules and regulations state that ''Each Club shall be required to nominate a minimum of seven Home Grown Players on their Team Sheet of Players for all League Competition Matches (including Play Off Matches)''.

The 22-year-old is set to leave the Addicks as a free agent at the end of this month after rejecting a new deal.

Aribo had a banner season for Charlton, helping them gain promotion to the EFL Championship via the playoffs, and registered 10 goals in 39 games.
