Ex-Chelsea Star Urges Arsenal To Make A Move For Wilfred Ndidi
Published: June 18, 2019
Retired Republic of Ireland international Tony Cascarino has encouraged Arsenal to sign Wilfred Ndidi this summer.
The Super Eagles star has consistently caught the eye since transferring to Leicester City in January 2017 and ended last season as the top tackler in the Premier League.
With Arsenal failing to qualify for the Champions League, Cascarino believes their transfer budget is not too big at all for them to lure the holding midfielder to the Emirates.
Ndidi is valued at €35 million by transfer market experts and is currently the most expensive Nigerian footballer.
''It is really tricky because it is the cost of Premier League players. I think Arsenal could do with Ndidi of Leicester City. Probably too expensive. Probably wouldn’t be able to go there,'' said Cascarino to talkSport.
Arsenal are believed to be in need of midfield reinforcements following the departure of Aaron Ramsey to Juventus and return of Denis Suarez to Barcelona.
