Southampton Readying 15 Million Pounds Bid For Dream Team VII Star

Southampton are preparing a fifteen million pounds bid for Nigeria U23 international David Okereke, according to reports.

The Sun UK says Saints manager Ralph Hasenhuttl is moving closer to a move for the 21-year-old from Italian club Spezia.

Okereke has attracted interest from several clubs in Europe after scoring 10 goals and providing 12 assists in 30 appearances for Italian Serie B club Spezia last season.

Newcastle United, Wolves, West Ham and Crystal Palace are the other Premier League teams interested in his services while he is on the radar of Cagliari, Sassuolo and Brescia in Italy.

The 21-year-old arrived at Spezia from Football College Abuja in 2016 and his contract with the Little Eagles runs until June 30, 2022.

Southampton are willing to sign Okereke in the summer transfer window as negotiations for Birmingham City's Che Adams are proving difficult.
