Liverpool, Arsenal, Everton, Wolves Passed Up Opportunity To Sign Man City's Brand New Nigerian Winger
Published: July 01, 2019
Alnigeriasoccer.com understands that several Premier League clubs passed up on the chance to sign Manchester City's brand new signing of Nigerian descent Samuel Edozie.
The 16-year-old has completed his move to the Premier League champions from Millwall and it is confirmed that The Lions will receive a guaranteed compensation of one million pounds, excluding performance-related bonuses.
Arsenal and Liverpool scouted Edozie when news broke that Manchester City and Chelsea were battling for his signature.
After the clubs watched him in two matches, they decided he was not worth the exorbitant price tag.
Liverpool's neighbors, Everton have been tracking Edozie since he was an U14 but were not interested in signing him.
Wolverhampton Wanderers also watched him last season but only Chelsea and Man City saw potential in him and continued negotiations with Millwall.
Edozie will play for Manchester City U18s in the upcoming season.
