Manchester City Product Tom Dele-Bashiru Wanted By Alaves, Zulte Waregem

Spanish La Liga side Deportivo Alavés are interested in signing Nigeria U20 international Tom Dele-Bashiru on a free-transfer, according to reports.

The Mirror says Alaves are keen to make a move for the central midfielder but face competition from Belgian club Zulte Waregem who have already made an offer.

The 19-year-old has become a free agent after his contract with Premier League champions Manchester City expired on June 30, paving the way for him to join a new club.

Tom Dele-Bashiru was one of the few bright sparks in the Flying Eagles team that failed to impress at the 2019 FIFA U20 World Cup, scoring on his debut against Qatar.

He was also named in the starting line-up against the United States and featured as a substitute in the round of 16 loss to Senegal.

Tom Dele-Bashiru spent fourteen years at City and made only one appearance for the club against Leicester City in the League Cup in December 2017.
