Liverpool Prepared To Flog Brentford & Reading Target Ejaria
Published: July 24, 2019
Ovie Ejaria's future at Liverpool has taken a significant turn with reports claiming that the European champions are prepared to offload the midfielder before the close of the transfer window.
According to Liverpool Echo, The Reds will not allow Ejaria leave the club on loan again this season but are willing to sell him to an interested suitor.
Reading are believed to be the club pushing hardest to sign the England U20 World Cup-winning midfielder and have held talks with Liverpool over a permanent deal.
But it would be difficult for the Royals to close the deal as they face competition from fellow Championship side Brentford who have offered £3.5million plus add-ons and a sell-on clause to sign Ejaria.
Since joining Liverpool from Arsenal in 2014, Ejaria has appeared in eight first-team games and has been loaned out to Sunderland, Rangers and Reading due to his lack of first team opportunities.
The former Golden Eaglets invitee was omitted from Liverpool's tour squad to the United States.
