Most Physical Player In The World Sends Message To Rohr After Move To PAOK
Published: July 26, 2019
Anderson Esiti has set his sights on earning a recall to the Super Eagles after completing his transfer to Greek champions PAOK who are competing in the Champions League qualifying rounds.
You have to go back to October 2016 to find the last time the 25-year-old central midfielder last played for the Super Eagles, which was against Zambia in a World Cup qualifier.
Since then, Esiti has been overlooked for selection by Gernot Rohr but believes he still has something to offer and is hoping to catch the eye of the German manager in the new season.
The former Gent star is a combative midfielder and was the top rated player in physicality by EA Sports in the FIFA 19 ratings.
''It is just to work hard here, my first objective is to have a good season here,'' said Esiti to allnigeriasoccer.com.
''About the national team, I believe the coach will see me when I play here so he's the only one that can decide if he has to call me or not.
''I am always ready to put on that green and white jersey to represent my country.
''I will give my best here in Greece and also in European competitions and hopefully I will be called back to the national team.''

Esiti is delighted to have made the move to PAOK and reckons that it is a big step in his career after spells in Portugal and Belgium.
''I am really happy, it is a good move for me, it is something that I have been hoping for a very long time because in a football player's life, you have to go up everyday and I'm really happy that I was able to make this step in my career.
''I thank God for everything,'' the new PAOK number 24 concluded.
