Promising Left-Back Ughelumba Making Inroads In Leicester City First Team
Promising left-back Calvin Ughelumba has been tipped to make his professional debut for Leicester City in the new season, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.

Foxes manager Brendan Rodgers observed the 19-year-old at close quarters while he was training with the first team at their pre-season get together in Evian-les-Bains earlier this month.

And he was on the bench when the first team thrashed Cambridge United in a recent friendly.

Having extended his contract with Leicester City at the end of last season, Ughelumba will be hoping to be promoted to a first team role in the next few years.

The Nigerian defender was the youngest player nominated for Leicester City's Development Squad Player of the Season in May, an accolade which eventually went to Dewsbury-Hall.

Ughelumba made 13 appearances in the Premier League 2 last term, scoring once against Liverpool.

He is line to make his debut for Leicester City when they tackle Rotherham United on Saturday afternoon.
