Official : Arsenal Confirm Exit Of Highly-Rated Nigerian Winger
Published: July 28, 2019Through a statement on their official website, arsenal.com, Arsenal have announced the departure of highly-rated Nigerian winger Xavier Amaechi from the club.
The Gunners have confirmed that he has joined 2.Bundesliga side Hamburg on a permanent deal.
Although Amaechi did not make a single appearance for Arsenal's first team in a competitive match, he was in the traveling party to Dubai and featured in the friendly against Al-Nasr.
The 18-year-old traveled with the first team to Azerbaijan for the Europa League final against Chelsea but was omitted from the match day squad.
Despite an injury slowing his progress last season, Amaechi recorded 14 appearances in the Premier League 2 and was involved in nine goals (4 goals, 5 assists).
He joined Arsenal from Fulham Academy at the age of twelve.
