Ejaria Scores For Liverpool U23s In Six-Goal Thriller Against Anderlecht
Published: July 28, 2019Ahead of a possible departure from Liverpool in the summer transfer window, former Golden Eaglets invitee Ovie Ejaria has been maintaining his fitness by training with the Reds U23 squad.
The central midfielder started and was in action for 65 minutes as Liverpool and Anderlecht played out a six-goal thriller on Sunday.
The home side took the lead, only for Ejaria to pounce and restore parity for Liverpool U23s.
Tom Clayton and Elijah Dixon-Bonner were the other scorers for Neil Critchley's team.
Ejaria was part of the Liverpool U23 squad that traveled to Scotland for pre-season games and played for 45 minutes in a 2-1 victory over Heart of Midlothian at Tynecastle.
Signed from Arsenal in the summer of 2014, the 21-year-old has made eight appearances for Liverpool's first team, the last of which came against Wolves in January 2017.
