'A Big Chance For Me To Play For This Club' - Ex-Arsenal Super Kid Amaechi Excited About Move To Hamburg
Published: July 29, 2019Nigerian winger Xavier Amaechi is excited about his transfer to Hamburg and is aiming to make his professional debut for the German 2.Bundesliga side in the coming weeks.
An England youth international, Amaechi quickly gave a thumbs up to the facilities at Hamburg in his first words as a player of Die Rothosen.
The former Arsenal super kid has inked a four-year contract following a successful medical at the UKE Athleticum and has been allocated the number 17 jersey for the 2019-2020 campaign.
''The conditions here really are perfect. I’m really impressed by the team, the fans and the stadium. I think it’s a big chance for me to play for this club,'' said Amaechi to the official website of Hamburg.
Amaechi played for Fulham's Academy before joining Arsenal at the age of twelve.
Hamburg opened their account for the new season on Sunday, 28th July with a 1-1 draw against SV Darmstadt.
