Official : Chelsea Loan Out Promising Wing Back To Wigan Athletic
Published: August 01, 2019Via a publication on the club's official website, Wigan Athletic have confirmed the capture of young Chelsea wing back, Dujon Sterling on a season-long loan deal.
The 19-year-old becomes the fifth summer acquisition for the Lactics, following in the footsteps of David Marshall, Antonee Robinson, Lewis Macleod and Joe Williams.
The England youth international who enjoyed a prosperous loan stint with Coventry last season has won the FA Youth Cup as well as the UEFA Youth League with Chelsea, both on two occasions.
"I heard really good things about the gaffer here and he loves giving young players opportunities. I just want to learn from him and hopefully he can make me a better player", he told the club website.
Sterling will done the No.15 jersey for his new club during the activities of the 2019-2020 season.
