Chelsea's Nigerian Striker Linked With Move To Dutch Club Roda
Ike Ugbo is being linked with a departure from Chelsea before the close of the transfer window.

Chelsea Youth has tweeted that Dutch Eerste Divisie club Roda JC are interested in signing the Nigeria-eligible striker on loan.

The 20-year-old has been training with Chelsea players who are set to be farmed out on loan this summer fueling speculation he has been declared surplus to requirements by first team boss Frank Lampard.

Ugbo traveled with Chelsea's first team to the Republic of Ireland last month and featured in the friendly against Bohemians, before returning to Cobham to continue his pre-season preparations.

During his time with Chelsea's youth teams, he was as prolific as Tammy Abraham, scoring 60 goals in 95 matches across three seasons before he was loaned out to Barnsley for the 2017-2018 campaign.

Ugbo could be the latest Nigerian youngster interested in playing football beyond English shores, with Hamburg and RB Leipzig completing deals for Xavier Amaechi and Ademola Lookman respectively.
