Done Deal : Super Eagles Left Back Joins Portuguese Club Belenenses SAD
Published: August 09, 2019Kalmar FF have informed via their official website that Super Eagles left back Chima Akas is no longer a player of the club after completing a transfer to Portuguese Primeira Liga side Belenenses SAD.
Chima joined Kalmar from Enyimba in January 2018 and is credited with 35 appearances for the Swedish club across all competitions, including 31 in the Allsvenskan.
''Belenenses made contact and showed interest in Chima at the end of last week,'' Jesper Norberg, acting sports director said.
''We have had a very good dialogue during the days that followed and we now agree on a transfer where all three parties are very satisfied.
''Chima has shown a great heart for the association and a professional in everything he does. We thank him for the time in Kalmar FF and wish him good luck in Portugal and in his future career.''
Belenenses SAD, who face Portimonense in their league opener this evening, have not disclosed the length of contract signed by Akas and the transfer fee.
