England Boss Southgate Watches NFF Target Abraham Make Full Debut For Chelsea In Loss To Man Utd
England boss Gareth Southgate was among the spectators as Chelsea were thrashed 4-0 by Manchester United in their Premier League opener on Sunday evening.

Fifteen years after he first joined the club, Nigerian Federation target Tammy Abraham was handed his full debut for Chelsea by manager Frank Lampard.

His previous three competitive appearances for the first team of Chelsea came against Liverpool and Leicester City in the Premier League in the 2015-16 season and in the Community Shield against Manchester City last season, and the England U21 star played as a substitute in the fixtures.

Abraham was unfortunate not to open the scoring when his piledriver cannoned off the post in the fourth minute.

France World Cup winner Olivier Giroud was thrown in at the expense of the 21-year-old with 24 minutes remaining.

Goals from Marcus Rashford (2), Anthony Martial and Daniel James secured a comprehensive win for the hosts.

Fikayo Tomori was included in Chelsea's 18-man match day squad but was a non-playing substitute.
