Official : Omeruo Joins Leganes On Permanent Deal, Ends 7-Year Stay At Chelsea
Published: August 14, 2019C.D. Leganés and Chelsea have reached a transfer agreement for Kenneth Omeruo, informs the official website of the Spanish club.
The Nigeria international has signed a contract for the next five seasons, tying him to Leganes until June 30,2024.
Omeruo has been handed the number four kit for the upcoming season and he is returning to Leganes having played there on loan last season.
In his first stint at Leganes, the Super Eagles star played a total of 31 official matches of which 30 were starts, logging 2,704 minutes in total, under the tutelage of Mauricio Pellegrino.
During Omeruo's seven-and-a-half-year career at Chelsea, he enjoyed loan spells at ADO Den Haag, Middlesbrough, Kasımpasa, Alanyaspor and Leganes.
The popular central defender has played for the Super Eagles in two World Cups, a Confederations Cup and two African Cup of Nations.
