Published: August 14, 2019
The Nigeria Football Federation have invited twenty-three players to the Super Eagles ahead of an international friendly against Ukraine on September 10.
In-form Glasgow Rangers midfielder Joe Aribo, who has committed his international future to Nigeria ahead of his country of birth England, has received a maiden call-up to the Nigeria National Team.
The other uncapped player in the squad is Fortuna Dusseldorf goalkeeper Maduka Okoye, while Ikechukwu Ezenwa is the only player plying his trade in the domestic championship.
Six players representing English clubs have been selected, including Leon Balogun, Semi Ajayi, Wilfred Ndidi, Oghenekaro Etebo, Alex Iwobi and Kelechi Iheanacho.
Benfica fullback Tyronne Ebuehi has been recalled to the squad despite concerns about his fitness.
The team contains three goalkeepers, eight defenders, five midfielders and seven strikers.
