Nigeria Coach Rohr Comments On Bordeaux Capture Of Former Arsenal Skipper
Published: August 16, 2019
Nigeria coach Gernot Rohr has shared his thoughts on Bordeaux's signing of former Arsenal captain Laurent Koscielny.
The retired France international departed the Premier League club in acrimonious circumstances after refusing to travel with the first team to the United States for pre-season training.
With over 350 games for Arsenal's first team prior to his departure, Rohr has spoken about what Koscielny will bring to Bordeaux.
''He's going to drive the other two (Mexer and Pablo). This will allow the defense to be certainly much more rigorous than what we saw,'' Rohr was quoted as saying by girondins4ever.com.
''We expect a lot of Koscielny but he is only a player. It's also in the head that it happens.
''Everyone has to do the job when the team does not have the ball.''

Nigeria international Samuel Kalu and former Super Eagles invitee Josh Maja joined Bordeaux in the 2018-2019 season, and featured in their opening day loss to SCO Angers last weekend.
