Bournemouth Coach Reacts To Celtic, Napoli, Fiorentina, Galatasaray, Espanyol Interest In Ibe
Published: August 17, 2019
Bournemouth coach Eddie Howe has reacted to speculation in the media linking English-born Nigerian winger Jordon Ibe with an exit from the Vitality Stadium before the close of the transfer window in Europe.
The Liverpool product is reportedly on the radar of Scottish champions Celtic, Turkish Super Lig winners Galatasaray as well as Napoli, Fiorentina and Espanyol.
Previously, Ibe attracted interest from English teams Derby County, Middlesbrough and Newcastle United but the transfer window closed for business without him making a move.
In quotes carried by the Bournemouth Echo, when asked if Ibe could leave Bournemouth in this window, Howe said : "No, Jordon is an integral part of our squad."
Since the start of the 2018-2019 season, Ibe has been included in Bournemouth's squad for competitive matches 37 times from a possible 44.
The 23-year-old's existing deal is to keep him at the Vitality Stadium until the end of the 2019-2020 season.
