Kalu, Maja Join Chelsea, Man Utd Top Young Stars In U21 TOTW Europe's Top Five Leagues
Published: August 21, 2019Bordeaux attack-minded duo Samuel Kalu and Josh Maja have been named to the U21 Team of the Week Europe's top five leagues by Whoscored.com.
The celebrated football statistics website has selected the best rated eleven players from the weekend's action, comprising of only players aged 21 and under.
In a 4-3-3 formation, Manchester United's Aaron Wan-Bissaka slotted in at right-back, Chelsea's Mason Mount was deployed as a midfielder, while Maja led the attack flanked by ex-Manchester City whizkid Jadon Sancho and Samuel Kalu.
On Maja, they wrote : ''Josh Maja will push for his first league start of the season after coming off the bench to grab Bordeaux a point in their home match against Montpellier on Saturday.
''The former Sunderland striker made his presence felt during his 45-minute display, scoring once from two attempts and registering two key passes''.
Super Eagle Kalu was named man of the match vs Montpellier after after completing eight dribbles, winning four fouls and attempting two shots.
